Self-adhesive printing is a relatively complicated technical work, and a general knowledge of the printing process is necessary. The following is a summary of the basic process of self-adhesive printing for your reference.
1. Laminating
Generally, there are two types of film coverings: glossy film (bright film) and matte film. The surface of the glossy film is bright and the reflectivity is increased, and the surface of the matte film is low in flooding, but it is elegant, and it is more used for the printing of image products.
2. Printing special funds
The quality standard of gold printing is that it has a bright color, a strong metallic texture, smooth graphics and text, and has the characteristics of not changing color for a long time. Printing gold on the package can make the product look beautiful and gorgeous.
3. UV (ultraviolet light glue)
A variety of artistic special effects can be presented on the surface of the self-adhesive printing, making the self-adhesive more exquisite and classy.
4. Indentation
Use steel knives and steel wires to form a template, press the self-adhesive stickers into the desired shape, produce a special-shaped effect, and increase expressiveness. This is mostly used for self-adhesive labels such as artworks.
5. Die cutting
Cutting the product into a specific shape with a steel knife is a cutting process in the post-processing of printed matter. The die-cutting process can make printed matter or other paper products into a die-cutting knife plate for cutting according to the pre-designed graphics. So that the shape of the printed matter is no longer limited to straight sides and right angles.
6. Convex/concave
Embossing the surface of the printed matter into a three-dimensional relief-like pattern (the printed matter is partially raised to make it have a three-dimensional effect and cause visual impact.) is called convexity; otherwise, it is concave. In terms of visual image, it can increase the three-dimensional effect.
7. Bronzing/Silver
The most common process is to hot stamp metallic paper onto the self-adhesive label to form a metallic luster, create a strong contrast on the surface, and highlight the text or logo.
8. Binding
Generally, the packaging method of self-adhesive printed matter is cut or rolled, and you can choose according to your own needs.
